Berlin, Berlin 2
Collaborations, Production
Berlin, Berlin 2 released in September 2021 as a follow-up to an editorial-first predecessor. For this edition, we got to shape the concept by adding numerous new layers to the programming. We launched a series of collaborations, hosted events around the city, created a consistent visual language to the project, and brought a new attention to the city's many cultural flows.
Among the collaborators were the Keith Haring Foundation with whom we designed a capsule collection in celebration of Keith's short-lived mural on the Berlin wall. Others included the iconic fetishwear store, Butcherei Lindinger and Neue Nationalgalerie.
The project also saw various editorial contributions including Lukas Korschan's compelling photo series on Isigym, a Berlin-based boxing studio, and a deep-dive into some of the city's many offerings.
During this edition we also launched the Berlin, Berlin Prize. A grant given to one of the city's emerging designers. The winner, Kasia Kucharska, would subsequently release products for the third edition of Berlin, Berlin.
